Culture is what makes your company unique!
Empirical evidence shows that culture can impact financial performance.
When your culture aligns with your strategies and goals, it helps you grow, reduces risks, and builds your Brand. But when it doesn´t, employees might feel disconnected in their jobs and your company might miss its revenue targets.
On the contrary, tight aligned cultures that become too strong soak up newcomers into its core cultural values and are likely to diminish the diverse strenghts and unique differences of these individuals, and eliminate economic advantages that derive from it as people attempt to assimilate. A culture that becomes insensitive to people who are different is more prone to bias and prejudice.
Today´s trend goes clearly towards decentralization of organizations, which makes corporate culture more important than ever. It´s the shared meaning of culture that guides people in one direction when management ranks and control systems are reduced. But the trend doesn´t stop here. Employees working in teams may develop a stronger bond to their team and its values than to the organization as a whole, which constitutes the formation of sub-cultures and their influence in organizations. These power dynamics are just a small glimpse into the deep wide ocean of organizational cultures and the understanding of organizational systems.
Our goal is to inform you about functional and dysfunctional effects of organizational systems, and provide a deep understanding of its most important characteristics. We want to ensure that the cultural health of your company is working for - not against - you. And for that we can work reactively and proactively to sustain, establish, or facilitate transformation of your culture and the organizational climate you aspire to nourish.
Our world has fundamentally changed, including technological, environmental and societal shifts. In order to survive, companies need to reshape how they engage with people and communities, and how to retain talents that match the new dimensions of the given complexity in our world.
One of the biggest fears of some traditional organizations is the process of becoming heterogeneous in terms of gender, race, age, ethnicity, and inclusion of other diverse groups. Managers often become concerned that differences would lead to miscommunications, misunderstandings, and conflict.
But demographic differences are just the surface of a much deeper iceberg, and don´t lead per se to negative outcomes. Inversely, surface level similarities will not necessarily conclude in best positive results if people experience deep-level diversity, which represents values and personalities. Organizations need to account for and dive into the far end of deep-level diversity in order to adequately measure and predicts the successes of their work-force.
Effective diversity management increases an organization´s access to the widest possible pool of skills, abilities, and ideas.
Our purpose at B29 Consulting is to develop an awareness for you on how differences in personalities and cultures shape communication, reactions, negotiations, preferences for rewards and many other aspects of behavior in organizations. We are here to help individuals and companies leverage these differences for sustained competitive advantage and create more effective teams.
We aim to improve your overall organizational performance and bring individuals and society closer together!
